About the person Peter-Michael Reichel
- Peter-Michael Reichel is the initiator of the WTA tournament in Linz, which has been showcasing world-class tennis at the highest international level in Linz since 1991.
- He is a highly successful member of the WTA (Women's Tennis Association) Board of Directors
From 2019 to 2023, he organized the ATP 500 tournament HAMBURG EUROPEAN OPEN together with his daughter. He transferred a WTA 250 license acquired in 2021 to Hamburg in the same year, which meant that the tournament was initially held “back to back” and later “combined” as a women's and men's event.From 2024, the HAMBURG EUROPEAN OPEN will be organized exclusively as a WTA 250 tournament by Peter-Michael Reichel and Sandra Reichel.
